Siemens Real Estate (SRE) has enlisted serviced office specialist Regus to manage office developments at five sites in Germany, it was announced at MIPIM.
The sites, which are located in Munich, Berlin, Erlangen and Dusseldorf, will be set up as “Siemens Office Centres” and will allow Siemens staff and clients to take advantage of variable rents and custom-made facilities. The first centre will be opened in May 2001 at Munich Airport.
Dieter Briese, head of SRE, said: “Our strategy of managed office space will centre on strong and reputable partners. Regus has 300 sites worldwide, extensive know-how and proven expertise in business centre management.”
SRE, the property wing of the global communications company, manages 48m sq m (517m sq ft) of land and over 19m sq m (204m sq ft) of buildings at 900 sites worldwide.
Elsewhere, Regus has taken four floors at Helsinki’s landmark Kone Building, which stands next to Nokia’s world headquarters.
The 1,888 sq m (20,322 sq ft) offices have been let from Kiinteisto Oy Kone Building for an undisclosed sum.
