MIPIM Watch:
• On day two of MIPIM there were a few pulled muscles on the tennis court as industry veterans battled it out in a doubles match for the inaugural JJ Folio Tennis Shield in aid of LandAid.
• Delegates were told the High Speed 2 train line would help rebalance the UK’s economy and Bilfinger GVA said there was capacity for 5.5m sq m of employment development in the Cambridge-to-Stansted Life Sciences corridor.
• Cluttons turned a ripe 250 years -old and it was bubbles and barbecue at the annual Shedmasters get-together. Miss France wowed the crowd at the Calais stand and rugby stars Joe Launchbury and Chris Bell paid tribute to the 1980s with a Scalextric tournament at the Coventry stand.
