MIPIM’s organiser has removed all Russia-based participants from its online roster, while condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
RX France has confirmed there will be no Russian exhibitors and no Russian Pavilion to showcase businesses from the country at the trade fair, which begins on 15 March. Moscow City Government is no longer taking a stand.
The organiser has deleted all 31 Russia-based registered participants from its online list of companies participating in the trade fair. These included the sanctioned VTB Bank and the State Duma.
The news comes as France shuts its airspace to all Russian aircraft and airlines.
A spokesman for RX France, which runs MIPIM, said its database will be updated regularly.
“RX strongly condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” said RX France. “RX stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, particularly with our employees around the world who have family and friends in Ukraine. We also stand in solidarity with our Russian employees working in challenging conditions.
“In a rapidly changing environment, RX is following government sanctions and policies in each territory where we operate. There is no Russian Pavilion at MIPIM.”
