MIPIM UK debate: Where next for London offices?

Crossrail-Paddington-CGI-THUMB.jpegOutlook for the London Office Market: Where will businesses look next?

Where: MIPIM UK, Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, W14 8UX
When: Thursday 22 October, 11.30am-12.15pm, Red Room

Synopsis: The squeeze on core central London office supply is forcing companies to look elsewhere for value, with connectivity, access to a skilled labour pool and appropriate accommodation just some of their key considerations.

Regeneration, plus the prospect of shortened journey times with new transport infrastructure, are creating submarkets that increasingly tick the right boxes. The debate will look at the impact of Crossrail, access to talent, and when the supply/demand dynamic in central London will correct itself.

Where are these submarkets and what do they offer businesses? Are they enough to draw businesses out of core locations for good;, or is the appeal of the core strong enough that businesses are prepared to pay top rents and compromise on space requirements?

Which industries are more footloose than others? What do they want? And what are the factors contributing to the lack of supply in central London?
