Harvester operator Mitchells & Butlers is selling 75 UK pubs for £50m.
The assets are from the lower end of its estate and were identified following a review of its portfolio. The assets generate around £5m per annum.
It is also looking to expand its steakhouse chain, Miller & Carter, by converting existing Harvesters, Toby carveries and Vintage Inns and is aiming to double the size of the chain to 100 sites by 2018.
In the year to 24 September, like-for-like sales fell by 0.8%. Total revenue across its 1,800 pubs fell slightly to £2.09bn.
The operator has also started working with delivery platform Deliveroo, and is launching a new rotisserie-style chicken concept called Chicken Society.
