Mitsubishi Pencil Company has become the first office occupier on Haslemere Estates’ 5.6 ha (14 acre) site at Berkeley Business Park in Warndon,Worcester.
Mitsubishi is taking a prelet on 1,950 sq m (21,000 sq ft) of offices and is paying some £51.13 per sq m (£4.75 per sq ft). It will join Booker which has pre-let a 3,251 sq m (35,000 sq ft) distribution warehouse.
Abbey Life is believed to be in negotiations to take further offices on the park. However, letting agent Guy Bowden of Grenville Smith & Duncan would not confirm or deny Abbey Life’s interest.
Haslemere is planning a further 7,432 sq m (80,000 sq ft) of speculative warehousing. Some 1,393 sq m (15,000 sq ft) of offices will be built and available in units of up to 464 sq m (5,000 sq ft) at the 4 ha (10 acre) first phase.
Quoting rents are in the region of £139 per sq m (£13 per sq ft) for the offices and £51 per sq m (£4.75 per sq ft) for industrial space.
