The government’s much-leaked review of defence duly confirmed the sale of hundreds of millions of pounds of the Ministry of Defence’s properties.
The sales of the Duke of York’s headquarters and the Chelsea Barracks are expected to realise £200m each.
The Duke of York complex covers 3.6 sq m (9 acres), while Chelsea Barracks extends to 4.8 sq m (12 acres).
