Moda Living and Apache Capital have been given the green light to develop 824 flats in Brighton & Hove at their first major project in the south of England.
The £260m scheme comprises 564 build-to-rent flats, 260 later-living flats and 50,000 sq ft of office and co-working space.
The scheme will see Moda deliver a fifth of Hove’s five-year housing supply, with construction of the former Sackville Trading Estate to begin this year.
Moda and Apache will provide public realm across 70% of the site and 10% of the homes will be affordable.
James Blakey, planning director at Moda Living, said: “The decision today will enable us, together with our partners, to revitalise a long dormant brownfield site with new homes and employment opportunities, while also investing £10m into the local community.”
Moda and Apache now have £850m of schemes under construction in the UK, in the first phase of their £2.5bn pipeline to develop 7,500 BTR flats.
