Manchester-based developer Modus has teamed up with Stoke Vision to redevelop pottery and porcelain manufacturer Spode’s Stoke factory into a £120m mixed-use scheme.
Spode sold the site to Stoke Vision in October last year to reduce debt.
Stoke Vision and Modus plan to transform the 12-acre site into a mixture of shops, leisure, housing and community facilities and hopes to start work on the project within the next two years.
Parts of the pottery plant will be protected to secure the future of the Spode museum.
Modus has more than £1.2bn of development projects in its pipeline and operates investment funds valued at £900m.
