Molenaar joins Henderson Park from Cerberus

Nick Weber’s Henderson Park has appointed Gijs Molenaar as head of asset management.

Molenaar spent three years as senior vice-president at Cerberus Capital in London before joining the European real estate investment platform, which launched last September.

Before Cerberus, Molenaar was a development director at Redevco before moving to Hammerson, where he was a director of asset management.

The appointment comes a month after Henderson Park backed Greystar’s £140.5m acquisition of a 172-home Barratt portfolio, providing around 90% of the capital. It followed the company’s purchase of the Le Meridien Etoile hotel in Paris for €365m (£314m) in November.

Weber, founding partner of Henderson Park, said: “Having already made two significant acquisitions, and with a strong pipeline of further investment opportunities, we have appointed Gijs to focus specifically on the business plan implementation of our key assets.

“As head of asset management Gijs will assist and advise our deal teams while working closely with and overseeing our local operating partners as we seek to create value for our clients.”
