Money flows back – UK leads the way

The UK is leading the way in capital value increases as money flows back into the real estate sector, says FTfm in a four-page Global alternatives survey.

Research from Towers Watson shows funds have now embraced real estate as a core holding in alternative asset portfolios. Towers Watson says assets under management within funds fell 9% last year but most markets saw a recovery in the second half that has been sustained through 2010.

The research shows pension funds are regaining their appetite for infrastructure.
