Moorfield and Allegra Care have acquired a Hampshire health care group in a debut deal for the newly formed £125m nursing home partnership.
The pair have bought Sentinel Health Care and its portfolio of five sites with 200 beds in Hampshire.
Moorfield made the acquisition on behalf of the Moorfield Real Estate Fund IV, with debt from Allied Irish Bank.
The purchase follows an agreement in 2020 between Moorfield and Allegra Care to create a £125m portfolio of nursing homes and dementia care properties in central and southern England.
Charlie Ferguson Davie, chief investment officer at Moorfield Group, said: “We will continue to look for more opportunities to grow the portfolio and address the under-provision of nursing and dementia homes in the UK.”
Helen Jones, chief executive at Allegra Care, added: ”Sentinel’s well-earned long track record of compliant service and commitment to resident care make them an excellent addition to our portfolio.”
Allegra Care and Moorfield were advised by CBRE. Sentinel Healthcare was advised by Savills.
