Moorfields Eye Hospital will open a diagnostic hub at Brent Cross, NW4, after striking a deal with Hammerson and Aberdeen.
The 15,000 sq ft facility, which will open in September on two floors previously occupied by New Look, will be Moorfield’s third diagnostic hub outside its main hospital in central London.
Hammerson’s UK commercial director Iain Mitchell said: “Across our portfolio, we are constantly looking at how we can respond to evolving consumer needs, and innovate and enhance our destinations.”
He added that the deal was “the latest example of how we are repurposing spaces, diversifying the tenant mix and creating vibrant destinations which serve local communities”.
Louisa Wickham, medical director at Moorfields Eye Hospital, said: “This new diagnostic hub at Brent Cross is a unique opportunity to provide medical eye testing to our patients in a convenient location. Our diagnostic hubs have already proved very popular with patients, and opening another allows more of them to access these services.”
