The City of London’s historic protected views could be under threat as planners look to increase the number of skyscrapers.
The City needs to continue expanding skywards to retain its competitive advantage, Christopher Hayward, chairman of the City of London Corporation’s planning and transportation committee, said.
A three-month consultation will be launched in September, prior to which the corporation is testing out 3D modelling of various development scenarios.
