More expansion for Stansted considered

BAA is looking at another expansion of Stansted airport to offset space shortages at Heathrow and Gatwick.

The announcement comes midway through Stansted’s second expansion – a £200m project due for completion in 2002. The airports operator is confident the £2bn Heathrow Terminal 5 scheme will get government go-ahead by the end of next year.

Non-core assets are on the sell-off list, including McArthur Glen factory outlet shops and the property portfolio.
