Nelson Bakewell made further management changes this week after its failed sale to CBRE.
David King has given up his chief executive title to become director of investment services. NB’s senior management are all taking pay cuts to reflect their new client-focused roles.
James Keys (investment), Andrew Smith (agency and development) and David Mills (corporate real estate) have been promoted to directors.
On Monday, the firm will pitch to renew its contract to manage £2bn of property for Royal London without its former head of management, Nigel Wheeler, who quit last week. Director David Gardiner will lead the pitch.
NB defections have continued. Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Adrian Crooks as an associate director in West End agency.
Phillip Howells, head of West End agency at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “This appointment fits with our plan to grow the West End agency team organically and to increase our market share from its existing 25%.
“Adrian will be a great addition to an already strong team, which has recently been appointed on a further 500,000 sq.ft of West End business.
“These new appointments include East and West Buildings, Cardinal Place for Land Securities, and 15 Golden Square for GE Commercial Finance Real Estate in conjunction with Grafton Advisors LLP.”
NB has also lost divisional director Mark Woodcraft, who specialises in investment and was based in the Edinburgh office.
