Property’s gender pay gap in numbers

The deadline has now passed for companies with 250 or more employees to file their gender pay gap reports.

Major agents including Cushman & WakefieldCBRE, GVA and JLL  revealed their data. Click here to see how the agents’ pay gaps compare.

Big names such as Landsec, British Land and Westfield also filed, along with the big housebuilders.

The results do not make for easy reading, but they are also entirely expected.

A lack of women in senior roles across the industry means that most of the major players are well above the national mean gender pay gap of 14.1%.

The only sector that is performing above average – with women in some cases earning more or getting bigger bonuses than men – is housing associations.
