Homebase expects to break even this year after closing 47 stores last year as part of a restructuring by Hilco, but management warned there could be further closures.
The DIY chain said its turnaround plan was “on track” after a disastrous two years under Australian ownership.
Its operating loss before exceptional items narrowed to £39m, compared to the £187m loss recorded in the final six months of 2017.
