Morgan Stanley buys science park building for £50.1m

Morgan Stanley has bought 101 Cambridge Science Park from a client of LaSalle Investment Management for £50.1m.

Arranged over three floors, the 79,990 sq ft office building is let to companies including Citrix, Huawei and Grant Thornton.

The building has a Very Good BREEAM rating and solar panels on the roof as well as amenities such as bike storage, showers and 13 electric car charging points.

James Vivian, director in the office investment team at Savills, said: “This was an attractive investment opportunity situated on one of Europe’s most established and successful science parks.

“The life science and tech sub-sectors of the office market have been incredibly resilient over the past year and following a competitive process, which attracted strong demand, we a delighted to complete this sale on behalf of our client for over the guide price.”
