Morgan Stanley has agreed to pay $2.6bn to settle investigations into its use of residential mortgage-backed securities.
Last year the company paid out $1.25bn following accusations relating to mortgage-backed securities sold to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It also reached a $275m settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
