MORNING NEWS: London HQ coming to market as Channel 4 downsizes

Good morning, this is your AM bulletin with the latest news and views from EG, as well as a few of the best bits from the morning papers.

Channel 4 will sell its London headquarters as it closes channels and cuts 18% of its workforce. It has been at the Richard Rogers-designed 124 Horseferry Road since it opened in 1994, but now wants a smaller, “fit-for-purpose” premises.

There is “no evidence of illegality or corruption” at the 2,500-acre Teesworks regeneration project, an independent review has concluded. However, there is a lack of transparency and no guarantee of value for money.

Infrastructure costs in the UK are far higher than they are for our Continental cousins, according to a new report. And while costs are lower than in Australia, at least Down Under they have the advantage of projects being built a lot faster.
