MORNING NEWS: Colliers’ focus ‘paying off handsomely’

Good morning, and welcome to your Friday round-up of news, views and interviews from EG, as well as some stories from the nationals.

The chief executive of Colliers says the agency’s focus on recurring income streams is “paying off handsomely” as the company posts a rise in revenue over the start of the year.

Outsourcing and advisory, investment management and leasing revenue all improved year-on-year, with only capital markets letting the side down.

At CBRE, Louise Wyman has been promoted to head up the agency’s public sector work in the UK. Wyman said she is “excited to help bring greater investment and development to UK city regions”.

This week’s big interview is with Ryan Simonetti, founder and chief executive of events space operator Convene. As the company opens its largest space yet in London, Simonetti has plans to double its global footprint.
