The London Property Alliance has called on the next government to support AI adoption across planning authorities so that developments in the capital can be sped up.

The organisation polled 300 design, planning and development professionals in central London and found some 90% of respondents recognised the potential of AI to increase efficiency and productivity, and ease the burden on the planning system.

In a more downbeat survey, almost half of office landlords are struggling with operational costs caused by high inflation.

A survey commissioned by workspace provider InfinitSpace has found 48% of office owners are finding operational costs at their properties difficult to manage, caused by the inflationary environment. More than one in seven feared their buildings were at risk of closing in the next five years, owing to affordability concerns.

This morning’s listed real estate news includes a cheery outlook from Urban Logistics, an extension to NewRiver REIT and Capital & Regional’s takeover talks, and the latest deals from Sirius and Harworth.
