Zuber Issa is looking to sell his 22.5% stake in Asda for more than £500m. The sales comes amid speculation of a split between the Blackburn-born brothers, with Zuber now wanting to focus on the fuel forecourt business.
Meanwhile, Ørsted, one of the world’s biggest wind farm developers, has agreed to invest £100m to build a 70-acre plant on Teesside. The factory will be used to assemble the turbines for the vast Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm. The agreement comes days after an independent report decided that there was no evidence of “corruption or illegality” at the Teesworks regeneration project, and as agents hail the area as a blueprint for the UK’s town centres.
The AA is moving from its historic home at Fanum House in Basingstoke to a new HQ in the nearby redevelopment of Mountbatten House, now rebranded Plant.
