MORNING NEWS: PDR, PSP, housebuilders and the top of the market

In this morning’s news, British Council for Offices research reveals the extent to which residential conversions under permitted development rights have hit the UK’s office supply.

The boss of Canada’s Public Sector Pension Investment Board’s real estate arm talks about what the market can expect to see next from the investor and just how serious it is about London.

In the City, yesterday’s share sale by housebuilder Redrow’s founder has got analysts talking. With Berkeley Group bosses and Dublin-based Cairn Homes’ founders also recently cashing in some of their holdings, there is speculation over whether these sector leaders are calling the top of the market.

And along with unveiling it’s new iPhone X, Apple opened the doors to its new US$5bn Californian campus that comes complete with one of the world’s largest on-site solar power farms.
