Morrison Construction boosted pre-tax profits by 50% from£3.18m to £4.77m in the six months to September 30.
Turnover at the Edinburgh-based construction and developmentgroup rose 25% to £123m. The building and propertydevelopment arm raised operating profits by 58% to £3m onsales of £66.7m. Civil engineering made an operating profitof £1m on sales of £28m. The company has won contracts in England and Scotland under the private finance initiative.
