Morrisons set for Cheltenham town centre

Morrisons Cheltenham BIGAugur Buchler Partners has secured Morrisons for its £60m Cheltenham town centre redevelopment.


The supermarket chain has agreed to take a 73,000 sq ft store on a 25-year lease at a £19.13 per sq ft headline ?rent.


The project includes a 300-space car park and 143 homes. The residential element of the five-acre site has been sold to Skanska Residential. Augur is now seeking £30m funding for the scheme, which is expected to be on site early next year.


Completion is anticipated in 2015. Alder King represented Augur Buchler Partners; Tamsland advised Morrisons.
