Motorbility Finance is moving from central London to Bristol Business Park in one of the largest relocations to Bristol for some years.
The car fleet manager is taking 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) on the 15ha (38 acre) park. Initially it will occupy an existing 1,013 sq m (10,900 sq ft) building, while a 1,774 sq m (19,100 sq ft) extension is added this summer.
Joint letting agents King Sturge and Chesterton would not reveal the terms of the deal.
Local agents, however, believe Motorbility are paying a good deal less than the quoting rent of £199 per sq m (£18.50 per sq ft). Phil Morton, of Chesterton admitted : “We had to go lower than the quoting rent to attract the tenant.” However, he claimed that the rent achieved was a record for the park.
