Mount Anvil and A2Dominion have confirmed the purchase of Keybridge House, SW8, from BT Group for £92.5m.
As revealed by Estates Gazette in September, Mount Anvil had submitted a knockout bid for the £600m luxury residential development in Vauxhall.
The former BT telephone exchange, which occupies a 3.3-acre site at 80 South Lambeth Road, SW8, has consent for Allies and Morrison-designed scheme with 415 new homes.
It is the second joint venture for Mount Anvil and A2Dominion, following their partnership on Queen’s Wharf in Hammersmith, W6.
Killian Hurley, chief executive, Mount Anvil, said: “Keybridge House will be an iconic development, which will further enhance London’s world-class standing.
“We are delighted to have secured this fantastic site and are excited to start work creating the UK’s tallest residential brick building.”
Construction is expected to start in spring 2015 with completion expected at the end of 2018.
Telereal Trillium and CBRE advised BT; Marsh & Parsons represented Mount Anvil.
