Move Defra to Norfolk, says minister

Civil servants will be told to “get out of London” in a push to move 22,000 jobs away from Whitehall.

Lord Agnew of Oulton, the Cabinet Office minister charged with overseeing the relocation, said that decisions should be made “in the places that the people are affected”.

He suggested that Defra should be relocated to Norfolk, “the grain basket of Britain”.
