Moves

Nelson Bakewell went through further management changes this week in the aftermath of CBRE’s decision not to buy the business.

David King has given up his chief executive title to become director of investment services and former head of corporate real estate Tim Asson becomes director of occupier services. NB’s senior management are all taking pay cuts to reflect their new roles.

James Keys (investment), Andrew Smith (agency and development) and David Mills (corporate real estate) were promoted to directors. Tris Williams, a director of NB subsidiary Sackville Resource Management, becomes a main board director.

On Monday, the firm will be pitching to renew its contract to manage £2bn of property for Royal London Asset Management without its former head of management Nigel Wheeler, who quit last week. Director David Gardiner will lead the pitch.

Meanwhile, staff defections have continued. Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Adrian Crooks as an associate director for its West End office agency team.

In Scotland, NB has lost divisional director Mark Woodcraft, who specialises in investment, but head of Edinburgh Will Marchington remains with the firm.
