Moxon Street car park plans approved

Moxon-Street-car-park-plans-THUMB.jpegPlans for the redevelopment of the Moxon Street car park, W1, have been approved by Westminster city council.

Developers Ridgeford and Concord Pacific submitted plans in December last year, which comprise a £250m Simon Bowden-designed scheme.

Planning for the 0.8-acre site, also known as Aybrook Street, W1, has been granted for a mixed-use scheme comprising 79 homes, 25 of which must be affordable under s102, and around 45,000 sq ft of retail.

There will also be restaurants and a multi-purpose community hall, which will house the existing farmers market.

Community space and public realm improvements on St Vincent’s Street are included in the plans, as well as a £384,300 contribution towards Crossrail.

Ridgeford and Concord Pacific bought the site from the council in summer 2014 for £100m.
