Mozilla in at Metal Box Factory

computer-www-THUMB.gifWeb browser firm Mozilla has taken space at Workspace Group’s Metal Box Factory, SE1, which has just been rated Wired Certified Platinum by WiredScore.

Mozilla, creator of the Firefox web browser, secured a 3,200 sq ft office at the Southwark site.

The Wired Certification was launched by the mayor of London in 2015 as a benchmark for digital infrastructure in buildings. The Wired Certified Platinum rating, currently held by only six other buildings in the UK, means tenants at the Metal Box Factory have access to fast, secure and reliable internet.

Rob Middleton, director of worldwide workplace resources at Mozilla, said: “We are pleased with our new office in Metal Box Factory. The connectivity here meets the challenging connectivity demands that we have at Mozilla.”

William Newton, UK director, WiredScore, said: “Workspace has made a forward looking investment to ensure occupiers have access to the best connectivity, future-proofing the building as a place for further innovation and success.”
