MPs rebuke FCA over LCF scandal

The FCA has been criticised for “seemingly not” adhering to the same standards of accountability it expects from the companies it monitors.

MPs issued the rebuke after examining the watchdog’s handling of the £237m collapse of minibond developer London Capital & Finance.

The Treasury select committee’s report said that a culture change was needed at the FCA, along with clearer distinctions over what is regulated and what is not.
