McAleer & Rushe’s development and investment arm, MRP, is hunting for an £85m funding partner for City Square House in Leeds, having agreed an 85,000 sq ft prelet with DLA Piper.
The law firm is set to occupy the grade-A office building on a 15-year lease. The deal means 50,000 sq ft of space remains to be let.
MRP has appointed Knight Frank and Steerforth Partners in its search for a funding partner to acquire the 135,000 sq ft office scheme, located next to the proposed HS2 station.
City Square House is one of several schemes that will help to address the lack of grade-A office supply in the city, with 400,000 sq ft of active requirements at play and 120,000 sq ft of new space in the pipeline to be completed by 2021.
Knight Frank also advised DLA Piper on the prelet.
DLA Piper and McAleer & Rushe have not responded to requests for comment.
