M&S and Next set up Solent stores

Next-THUMB.jpegMarks & Spencer and Next have committed to leases at the second phase of the Solent Retail Park in Havant, Hampshire.

M&S will take more than 40,000 sq ft and Next will relocate from its existing store in the retail park’s phase one scheme to a new 40,000 sq ft shop.

Rents are understood to be in excess of £25 per sq ft and both shops are expected to open in early 2016.

Lambert Smith Hampton acted jointly with Curson Sowerby Partners as letting agent for the scheme, which is the culmination of four years of site assembly work by Hargreaves Development.

LSH director John Butt said: “This second phase of the retail park represents a significant step in the growth and regeneration of Havant.”
