Marks & Spencer is braced for a double-dose of bad news this week as it reports a fall in sales of clothing and slowdown of its food business.
It is the latest retailer to be hit by the unusually warm autumn weather, which prompted profit warnings from Next and SuperGroup last week as jumpers and coats remained unsold.
