The Madison Square Garden Company has applied for planning permission for its proposed 21,500-capacity, spherical entertainment venue in Stratford, E20.
MSG, which submitted the planning application to the London Legacy Development Corporation, bought the 4.7-acre east London site for £60m in 2017.

The 96.5m-high sphere would sit on a “multi-layered podium” comprising four levels and be accessed through new pedestrian link bridges.
Public-drop-in sessions showcasing the plans will be held towards the end of May and early June. The earliest expected date for a decision on the application is in winter 2019.
