Soros Real Estate Partners (SREP) today announced that Richard Mully will join as European Managing Partner.
SREP, led by Richard Georgi, has focused since its inception earlier this year on investment in Western Europe and Japan.
Mully, 38, will work closely with Georgi and become responsible for SREP’s european business. The appointment is effective as of January 15, 2000.
Mully was formerly a managing director of Prudential of America (PRICOA). Prior to joining Prudential, Mully was a partner and managing director of Bankers Trust New York Corporation where he founded and headed the bank’s European Real Estate Investment Banking Group.
SREP is affiliated to Soros Fund Management, which serves as principal investment advisor to the Quantum Group of Funds. SREP is responsible for making property investments on behalf of Quantum Realty Holdings, certain affiliates of the Quantum Group of Funds, and George Soros, his family members and their affiliates.
With assets exceeding US$13bn, the Quantum Group consists of a number of both open-end and closed-end investment funds.
