Plans for a £22m extension to the Royal College of Art will be announced today.
Proposals for the new building, next to the Royal Albert Hall, will seek formal planning permission from Westminster city council in the autumn.
Nicholas Grimshaw is the architect for the five-storey “ellipse”.
