The Roberts of Perth have offered A$50m (£20m) of the family fortune to fellow shareholders in Multiplex.
The sum is an indemnity against losses on the £757m Wembley stadium project
The offer comes as the Australian developer has found itself under attack from an angry subcontractor, resentful shareholders and an extortionist.
