Damac International has awarded a £240m contract to Multiplex for the construction of the “ultra-luxury” Aykon London One residential tower in Vauxhall, SW8.
The 50-storey, 450-flat tower is being developed through Damac subsidiary Nine Elms Property.
Hussain Sajwani, chairman of Damac, said: “Aykon London One is our premier international development outside of the Middle East and a landmark project for the UK’s capital. The project continues to garner interest from investors who appreciate such a niche investment opportunity and seek premium branded real estate in one of the most desirable cities in the world.”
The Versace-branded tower has been designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and is valued at €645m (£589m). It is scheduled for completion in 2020 and is 45% pre-sold.
