The project involves surplus land from a £136m public private partnership (PPP) scheme to design and build new schools in the region and is Muse’s first deal signed by Muse Developments since its was acquired by Morgan Sindall .
The five sites will be released and paid for in 2009/10.
Each will be developed – subject to planning – as a range of residential and retail-based regeneration schemes.

The biggest site is in the affluent northern suburb of Bishopbriggs.
A planning proposal is currently being developed for a mixed-use scheme and is expected to be submitted in October.
The agreement with East Dunbartonshire Council also features three primarily residential schemes in Thomas Muir, Douglas and Turnbull.
The fifth is in Bearsden and includes Grade A listed buildings which will be refurbished to create 36 apartments.
It will also accommodate a further 150 new residential units.
