Muse Developments has signed an agreement with Hollins Murray Group to redevelop Longfield shopping centre in Prestwich, Greater Manchester.
Plans for the shopping centre will be developed by Muse in consultation with HMG.
The 26,500 sq ft shopping centre currently comprises a mixture of shops, a car park and events venue the Longfield Suite.
It comes after multiple failed previous attempts to redevelop the shopping centre.
Muse development director Phil Mayall said it was “the start of a long journey” and he was “fully aware that previous attempts have not been successful”.
He added: “Accordingly we are treating this as a completely fresh start for the regeneration of Prestwich Village.
“At this stage all options will be analysed and considered and we will be working in close partnership with HMG and the council to get the right mix for the area.”
