Myerson quits as non-executive director of NWB

Brian Myerson is to step down as a non-executive director of Marylebone Warwick Balfour at the AGM next month.

Myerson joined the board three years ago following the investment of new equity capital into MWB by the Active Value Funds, of which Myerson is a manager. Active Value Funds owns nearly 25% of MWB.

Chairman Eric Sanderson said: “Brian Myerson, and the Active Value Funds that are managed by him, have been supportive of the group over the last three years. They have confirmed their continuing support of the business and its strategy going forward.”

Myerson was originally appointed to serve on the board until May 2006.

The company statement went on to say that Myerson was heavily involved in his own business ventures and therefore felt less able to devote appropriate time to the group in the years ahead.
