A mystery developer has bought the former Boots headquarters in Nottingham with the intention of demolishing the existing office block and building up to 200 apartments on the site.
Boots the Chemists put its vacant Station Street building on the market last year, attracting a number of bids. The retailer is not naming the new owner until an application for detailed planning consent is submitted to the council.
In a statement, Boots said: “Unconditional contracts have been exchanged for the sale of the 13,378 sq m (144,004 sq ft) building to a London-based specialist residential developer who will shortly be releasing plans for the site.”
Sole agent for Boots Properties was Oliver Liggins ACR, while the purchaser was represented by Robin Thompson & Company.
