N&B Foods buys Swindon warehouse for £2.25m

Food wholesaler N&B Foods has bought a 50,038 sq ft of warehouse accommodation on Rivermead Industrial Estate, Swindon, from Farepak for around £2.25m.

The deal is one of the largest owner/occupier acquisitions that the depressed Swindon market has seen for some time.

It will allow N&B Foods to consolidate its business from a number of smaller buildings in Reading to one central building.

David Miller from Alder King, which acted for Farepak, said: “Demand in the larger freehold market is currently strengthening in Swindon and reflects the trend for freehold ownership in the smaller size categories as the preferred method of occupation.”
