Lambert Smith Hampton’s star investment agent, Ezra Nahome, has been appointed chief executive as part of a management shake-up at the top-10 firm.
Nahome, 45, takes over from Philip Lewis, 56, who joined just eight months ago.
Lewis will take on the new role of deputy chairman.
LSH is the second firm this week to implement a succession plan, after Jones Lang LaSalle announced that Andrew Hynard would be the new chairman for its England business (see box).
Nahome is the only member remaining of the executive team that led a £46.5m MBO at LSH in June 2007.
He will take responsibility for the strategic direction of the firm and will continue to lead capital markets and LSH’s recovery business.
Former Colliers CRE chief executive Lewis will move into a more client-focused role.
Clive Williams, 65, remains chairman.
“This gives everyone the chance to see progression,” said Lewis.
Nahome said that Lewis had given LSH a “real shot in the arm” since his arrival.
“What we’ve all realised is that we need the right players on the right parts of the pitch,” he said.
The reshuffle also sees executive directors Guy Gregory and Kevin Maddern appointed operations directors, making them responsible for the day-to-day management of LSH’s 28 offices and 800 staff.
