Nando’s has acquired Cafe Pasta on Kensington High Street, W8.
The group paid a premium of around £600,000 for a new 25-year lease with the private landlord.
The 4,300 sq ft premises are arranged over ground floor and basement, situated prominently close to Waitrose and opposite Byron.
It is the fourth new restaurant that the group has signed over the summer, following new restaurants on Great Portland Street, in Braintree, and Peterborough.
Brandon Elmon of Davis Coffer Lyons, which advised Café Pasta, said: “Nando’s has proven itself as one the biggest success stories in the past few years, comfortably riding out the recession and closing in on 1,000 sites worldwide. I think we can expect additional sites later in the year, especially in central London.”
