“The past 12 months have been particularly active in Buckinghamshire and winning the Dealmaker award is a very pleasing as we have been doing some great deals for our clients over this period.
“The industrial sector has been particularly strong, and we are seeing the return of speculative development with several large development site sales, including two to Chancerygate that will see the development of almost 200,000 sq ft of new units in High Wycombe and Chesham. Rents are now well above £10 per sq ft and freehold prices are close to £200 per sq ft in some locations.
“The office sector remains challenging, although recently we have let 40,000 sq ft of grade-A space in Marlow, with a further 20,000 sq ft under offer, at rents close to £30 per sq ft. In Aylesbury we have completed several key lettings, including space in the iconic Blue Leanie building. Demand for permitted development opportunities remains, and we have sold more than £30m of buildings recently. The retail sector is also challenging, but we are involved with new developments across the county, including a seven-units 20,000 sq ft scheme in High Wycombe town centre.
“The outlook is promising as we have some great stock and several key new developments in the pipeline, along with a range of key investment and development transactions.
